Learning about the DTV changes
After February 17, 2009, anyone that uses an antenna to watch TV will need a converter box or a new TV to continue to watch TV using an antenna. Analog-only TVs should continue to work with cable and satellite TV services, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players and similar products.
How will it affect me?
- If you are a Partner Communications cable television customer, there is nothing you need to do. We’ll take care of the transition for you and your analog television will continue to work.
- If you use an antenna to watch TV, you’ll either need a digital-to-analog converter box or a new TV in order to continue to receive programming with an antenna
- $40 coupons are available to use toward a converter box, visit www.DTV.gov or www.dtv2009.gov or call 1-888-DTV-2009
- An HDTV (high definition TV) is not required to view digital programming
